Information We Process

Tuner is designed to analyze the pitch of your instrument from the microphone signal. All processing happens locally on your device.

• Microphone audio. The live microphone signal is analyzed in real time to detect pitch and show the tuning readout, spectrum, and pitch history. Audio is processed in memory and is not recorded, saved, or transmitted by the app.
• App preferences. Your choices — such as concert pitch, selected instrument and strings, temperament, stretch tuning, notation, tolerance, analysis settings, language, and theme — are saved locally on your device so the app remembers them.

Permissions

Tuner requests only the permission it needs to work, and only when the related feature is used.

• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO). Required to capture the microphone signal that is analyzed to show the pitch of your instrument. The app requests this permission at runtime and uses the audio only for live pitch detection.

Tuner does not request internet access for data collection and does not use location, contacts, or other sensitive permissions.

Files You Choose To Save

If you use an optional export feature to save a recorded sample as an audio file, the file is written only to the location you pick on your own device or storage using the Android system file picker. These files stay under your control and are never sent to us.

How Information Is Used

• Detect pitch and display the tuner readout in real time.
• Show the spectrum, autocorrelation, and pitch history views.
• Remember your tuning setup and app preferences on the device.

Data Sharing And Selling

Tuner does not sell personal information and does not share any personal information with third parties. Because the app processes everything on your device and does not include ads, analytics, or a backend service, there is no data to share.

Data Retention And Deletion

App preferences remain on your device until you clear the app's data or uninstall Tuner. Uninstalling the app removes its settings from your device. Any audio files you exported yourself remain wherever you saved them until you delete them.

Children

Tuner is safe for general audiences and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children. The app is not directed at children under 13 and gathers no data about its users.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy if the app changes. The latest version will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
